Gas Pocketbike
There are several factors that affect a pocket
bikes performance. You will learn how to deal with some factors,
such as tire pressure, through experimentation. There are a few
general rules, though. If a riding surface is bumpy, you want
less pressure. If it's smooth, it is good to have more pressure.
If the riding surface provides good traction, you'd want more
pressure. But if it's slippery, you would want less. Cooler temperatures
also require more pressure, while hotter temperatures require
less. Again, these are just general rules. This is something that
riders need to discover for themselves.
North American Pocketbike Racing Association
The North American Pocketbike Association (NAPRA) is an
organization created for the gas
pocket bike enthusiast interested in participating in safe,
organized racing events throughout North America. They hope to help
bring the excitement of Grand Prix motorcycle racing to everyone
in the country. This growing association works with leading retailers,
distributors, builders, racers and track owners, promoting the fact
that pocketbikes offer the same thrill as their full-sized counterparts
on a scale that makes racing convenient and affordable to all. Above
all else, NAPRA hopes to foster a safe and enthusiastic racing environment
for racers and spectators across the country.
Stockton Mini Road Racing Club
The Stockton Mini Road Racing Club (SMRRC) is based in Stockton,
California. The club is a result of the growing national interest
in supermoto and mini moto road racing. Races are held at the
Stockton Motorplex Park. In addition to supermoto races, there
are pocket bike races held by SMRRC. New members can join the
club for $35 and race in one of the many available racing classes.

Arizona Pocketbike Racing Association
The Arizona Pocketbike Racing Association (AZPRA) presents two
great opportunities for pocket
bike racers in Arizona. One is an event at Firebird International
Raceway's Main or West tracks, in which AZPRA is given a large
amount of pit area. The association sets up a track with chalk,
cones and hay bales. This is very common across the country, it's
usually called parking lot racing. Another great racing opportunity
is offered in conjunction with the Bondurant School of High Performance
Driving, who has recently built a new go-kart track and has offered
its use to AZPRA. AZPRA has one race scheduled for Memorial Day
weekend and will have more races scheduled for evenings during
the summer.
